1. What is a Cookyn Party?

Our cookyn parties are fun affairs of cookyn and eating. You can click here for our list of classes. Everyone works together on the preparation of the dishes. After the dishes have been prepared, we all sit down to enjoy the meal that we have prepared together, topped off with appropriate wines and other beverages!

2. How are Cookyn Parties different from a cooking class?

At Cookyn parties, participants work to put our meal together. It is not a ‘I-teach, you-watch’ demo session. Neither is it a ‘do it all by yourself’ session. Everyone is assigned different tasks to complete and at the end, everyone comes together to assemble the final meal. There is something for everyone to do and everyone has to participate for the meal to be successful.

Because of the interactivity of a Cookyn Party, participants go home with the knowledge of how to cook a dish and the confidence of recreating it at home because they have experienced first-hand the steps to create it. We also always keep it fun and casual for everyone, so you do not go home feeling tired out at having cooked non-stop for 4 hours.

Bottom line: everyone must have fun!

3. How can I join a public Cookyn Party?

We hold public parties on a weekly basis, normally on the weekends. You can check out the list of available cookyn parties here. Hurry though, places fill up very quickly! To get previews of our parties and what is coming up, do register to receive our newsletter so you can be the first to know.

4. How much is a Cookyn Party?

Our cookyn parties cost $85-$100 per person depending on the menu. The prices are nett and include all ingredients, recipe handouts, 3 glasses of wine and a lot of fun! Basically, you pay 1 flat fee for the entire event.

5. I would like to conduct my own private Cookyn Party, is that possible?

Yes definitely! If you prefer to cook with friends, our private cookyn parties are great for:

1. birthday celebrations
2. hen parties
3. pre-wedding parties
4. thank you parties
5. corporate teambuilding and much more.

We do private parties for a minimum of 12 people. Menus start at $85 per person. Menus can be customised for your needs so just drop us a message. Our studio is available for private party booking on all days. Drop us a line, we can put things together very quickly!

6. What is expected of me during a Cookyn Party?

No prior cooking experience is needed except a willingness to learn. Participants will be given simple tasks to complete during the session. Some of these tasks include preparation of ingredients and guided cooking tasks. We will be giving cooking tips and having fun along the way. You will be Cookyn before you even know it!

7. Do I have to wash up?

Great news! You just come and have fun, leave the washing to us!

8. Do I need to let you know if I have dietary restrictions?

Yes, please let us know in advance if you have any dietary restrictions so we can make separate arrangements to the best of our ability.

9. I would like to bring my company for a teambuilding session. Are you a registered company?

Yes we are. We are registered with ACRA and as a government vendor. We are able to issue either paper invoices or e-invoices as your company might need. Just let us know in advance.
