Appetite Magazine Dec 09/Jan 10

We were featured in Appetite magazine’s December issue. How wonderful to be considered one of the A-List stars of Asia (together with cupcake extraordinaire Mong)!

Harbourfront Center – Best western food hawker in Singapore?

We love eating at Harbourfront Center’s Banquet food court which we think, serves argubly Singapore’s best western food in a food court! We have eaten a couple of dishes there but our favourites remain the fish cutlet and the honey black pepper chicken chop. It is amazing stuff, very well-grilled and impressive in taste! When you are there, remember to ask for the sambal chili which adds a spicy yet tasty kick!

Honey black pepper chicken chop ($6.20). Really awesome stuff. The honey makes the black pepper stick like a crust to the chicken chop. Imagine hot and sticky pepper-crusted chicken. Amazing!

HBF5

Mervyn’s personal favourite – fish cutlet ($7). This is crispy and the crust is so tasty too! A lot of fish and chips out there have a crispy crust without much flavour, this one is very toasty and delicious. Just look at that curl in the corner of the cutlet, makes you want to bite into it right away!

We personally love this stall very much because of the amazing cooking they do. And a lot of other people love it too, that’s why there is even an electronic queue system where they issue you a number and buzz you to come and pick up your food! Lol. Gotta love good ol’ Singaporean efficiency! Feel like having some chicken chop right about now!
